AEROMEXICO AIRLINE

In 1934, Aeromexico was founded as Mexicana de Aviación by a group of Mexican investors. The airline began scheduled flights between Mexico City and Tampico on 21 August 1934, making it the first airline in Mexico. The company’s original logo was an eagle perched on a cactus, with the word “Aeromexico” written underneath. In 1945, Aeromexico became the first Latin American airline to provide direct service between Mexico and the United States. In 1951, the Mexican government took control of the airline.

In 1972, Aeromexico began flying to Europe and Asia. The following year, the company acquired Mexicana de Aviación, which had been founded in 1931. By 1980, Aeromexico had become one of the largest airlines in Latin America.

Aeromexico Airlines is a Mexican airline that offers flights to various destinations in North America, Central America, South America and Europe. Recently, the airline has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons. On July 31st, an Aeromexico flight from Chicago to Mexico City was forced to make an emergency landing in Nebraska after one of the plane’s engines failed. The plane was carrying 104 passengers and crew members at the time of the emergency landing. No injuries were reported. This is just the latest in a series of disasters for Aeromexico Airlines. In May, an Aeromexico flight from Durango to Mexico City crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all two dozen passengers and crew members on board. And in February, another Aeromexico flight from Houston to Monterrey had to make an emergency landing after one of its engines caught fire.
